Hi Everyone,
A few weeks ago, we shared an update regarding our 2024 applications and programming and this message is to serve as the latest updated information.
Girl Up has continued its strategic planning process and our team is currently carrying out our WiSci South Asia Camp in Kochi, India, bringing together girl leaders from India, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Maldives, and USA, as well as supporting Girl Up USA and their inaugural Leadership Summit in Los Angeles, CA. Follow Girl Up, Girl Up India, and Girl Up USA for real-time updates from those 2 events!
For those reasons, we will once again be delaying the release of our Scholarships, Project Awards, and Teen Advisor application to ensure a smooth and strategic launch and we can support you all throughout those application processes. Please see the updated application release schedule below:
- Scholarships: August 2024
- Project Awards: Late September/ Early October 2024
- Teen Advisor: Fall 2024

Update as of April 2024:
Hello Everyone,
We wanted to give an important update to our wider Girl Up Community about the timeline of several youth engagement and youth investment opportunities.
As you may know, Girl Up is in the middle of our strategic planning process. Thank you to all who have already participated in the youth survey to share valuable insights that will inform our thinking.
In this process, we plan to re-envision the best way we can continue to support our growing community of fierce leaders around the world to meet the challenges of today head-on. So, we would be remiss to launch any of our Girl Investment-related applications and programs in 2024 without considering the most recent input from our current TA’s, the recently launched and completed youth survey, and the outcome of other strategic planning conversations taking place right now.
Please note this includes the launch of our Global Scholarships, Global Project Awards, and Global Teen Advisor applications in 2024 all being postponed allowing us to analyze these key results and areas of feedback. You can find anticipated launch dates below for our 2024 applications.
- Scholarships: Late May to early June of 2024
- Project Awards- Late July to early August of 2024
- Global Teen Advisor- Late September to early October of 2024
Fear not! Girl Up is committed to our Teen Advisor Global Board as our longest-standing program and a great source of wisdom, courage, and strategic direction has not changed. Our Scholarships and Project Awards continue to be our two chief areas of direct youth investment to support your educational goals and your ideas. These applications will launch in 2024 and continue to improve with each application cycle.
