Lilianne Asokwah is a Girl Up club leader, coalition leader, and teen advisor. She is extremely passionate about advocating for girl's education, so much so that she coded a website focusing on the topic. As a strong believer in women's health equity, Lilianne created the first menstrual products drive in her school's district, and has started many traditions surrounding girl's empowerment and equality at her school, such as Women's History Month cards, an annual menstrual products drive, and an annual Galentine's Day celebration. After being diagnosed with scoliosis and finding out that women make up less than 8% of orthopedic surgeons, she decided that she would pursue orthopedics. Lilianne hopes and strive to empower girls everywhere to reach their dreams, even if they seem impossible.
