Employment at Girl Up

Applicants interested in employment at Girl Up must submit a current resume and cover letter online through the UN Foundation careers portal. The Chief Program Officer focuses on Girl Up global programs and engagement. Leading Girl Up’s efforts to drive and support global action toward achieving gender justice. The Chief Program Officer will help drive organization-wide strategic priorities and oversee Girl Up’s global impact programming, policy initiatives, strategic partnerships, and communications. The Chief Program Officer is an integral member of Girl Up’s executive leadership and reports to the Chief Executive Officer of Girl Up.

>> SENIOR ASSOCIATE, Development (washington, DC or remote)

The Senior Associate, Development, Girl Up will be responsible for maintaining and growing the institutional donor pipeline at all phases including research/prospect identification, solicitation, and stewardship with guidance from the Senior Director, Global Philanthropy. The Senior Associate, Development reports to the Senior Director, Global Philanthropy Girl Up and is responsible for Girl Up’s institutional gift development effort, focused on maximizing and growing revenue from private foundations, public trusts, and corporate and family foundations to realize the mission, vision, and strategic imperatives of Girl Up. The annual revenue goal for this position is $500,000 in partnership with the Senior Director, Global Philanthropy.

>> MANAGER, Alumni (washington, DC or remote)

The Girl Up Manager, Alumni will lead the strategy, execution, and expansion of Girl Up’s Alumni network, creating programming, events, and a young donor fundraising pipeline, in addition to creating and leading longitudinal monitoring and evaluation to measure impact. The Manager, Alumni will also manage mentorship pairings for youth 18 to ~30 years old to develop their leadership skills, identify and work towards their educational, career, and personal goals, and build meaningful and authentic connections with professional and personal networks in a global community. The Girl Up Manager, Alumni will lead expansive outreach, membership engagement, recruitment, and programmatic strategy. They will have an entrepreneurial spirit, excel as a relationship builder and communicator, and cast vision while managing the details necessary to achieve that vision.

Internships at Girl Up

Thank you for your interest in an internship with Girl Up! We offer internships for the Spring, Summer, and Fall semesters. Internships are posted approximately two months prior to the start of each semester. All open positions are currently remote, paid internships.
