Change the Tide
Around the world, girls and women face gaps in resources that prevent them from participating effectively. If polling stations are located in remote or unsafe areas, women voters may be reluctant to use them. By ensuring that girls and women are actively included and their voices are not only heard but represented is essential in creating change. More importantly, when girls and women build coalitions and turn out the vote, we create change.
Our Club leaders are a powerful force for social change. Advance the global movement for gender equality by organizing your Girl Up Club and community.
- Host an Advocacy Boot Camp. We want you to host an Advocacy Boot Camp with your Club! Use our Advocacy Boot Camp Toolkit to teach your Club about what advocacy looks like on the local, state, and central government.
- Volunteer with a local organization. Use the list of regional organizations in this Club Challenge as a guide to selecting an organization focused on civic engagement.
- Support women in office. Reach out to women who currently hold office and invite them to a webinar to discuss the ways you and your Club members can participate in politics. Following your webinar put your passion into action by volunteering with their office.
