October Alum Mentorship Program Now Accepting Applications

Apply now to be mentored as part of our Alum Mentorship program, designed to advance the leadership skills and career trajectory of Girl Up Alum.

  1. Story

Join a community of ambitious Girl Up community members committed to creating the next generation of leaders. This three-month, online, mentorship program will pair together Girl Up mentors and mentees for a structured mentorship program based on two tracks:

  • Pathfinder Track: a track for young women new to mentorship, but ready to build a pathway to success for themselves.
  • Goal Setter Track: a track for young women with a goal they would like to reach.

If you are a Girl Up alum over the age of 18 looking to advance your career, develop new skills, and build a connection with a mentor, this program is for you.

Please note the mentor and mentee matches are based on a number of factors, and you may not be matched with someone in your exact career path. However, you will be paired with a mentor who has expertise leading in their workplace, or in their community, should you be selected for the program.

How it Works

How it Works

The Girl Up Alum Mentorship Program is a three-month program dedicated to building a space where women empower other women to achieve their goals and advance their careers. Participants will be paired 1:1 to work together through an online, guided mentorship program that can include:

  • Informational interviews
  • Conversations about strengths and areas for growth
  • Future planning
  • Mock-interviews

The program will be virtual and everyone interested in participating in the program will be asked to fill out an application and confirm they are able to meet twice a month for three months.

There are no costs associated with participation. However, the program has a limited number of seats so not everyone who applies may be accepted.

Mentees will:

  • Be paired with a Mentor in September, and begin meetings in October
  • Take the lead on scheduling four 30-minute meetings with their mentor

Ideal Mentees Are:

  • Ambitious people who are eager to advance their leadership or gain clarity on their career path
  • People who can take the lead on scheduling meetings
  • People who can commit to meeting twice a month
  • People who are interested in a global exchange, and being paired with a mentors from around the globe
  • Follow the mentorship playbook to guide sessions, altering the curriculum as they see fit
