2020 Leadership Summit: Uganda
Update on Leadership Summit: Uganda
In light of the COVID-19 outbreak – after careful consideration of recommendations from major global health bodies including the World Health Organization (WHO) and working in coordination with our UN Foundation leadership team – Girl Up has decided to postpone the Girl Up Leadership Summit: Uganda presented in partnership with the Cotton On Foundation.
The health and safety of staff, partners, speakers, and our girl participants is our top priority, and we’ll be exploring alternative future dates.
Join 100 other passionate youth advocates for gender equality ages 13-25 at the 2020 Girl Up Leadership Summit: Uganda, hosted at Makerere University in Kamala on March 21, 2020. The Summit is a jam-packed day of leadership training and skills-based workshops to educate, empower, and embolden the potential of every youth leader present. Hear from inspirational and influential speakers, participate in interactive sessions, and more. At this event, you’ll learn how to amplify your voice in the global movement for gender equality and lead local efforts to advance girls’ rights in your community.
This is the first Girl Up Leadership Summit on the African continent. The event is free of charge and will include breakfast and lunch. Thanks to our generous partner Cotton On Foundation whose support has made the Girl Up Leadership Summit: Uganda possible.
