This Menstrual Hygiene Month, Girl Up members across the world are coming together through Cycles of Strength, a youth-led global campaign all about breaking stigma, owning our stories, and changing how we talk about menstrual health.
All month long, young people will be creating spaces that feel real, honest and empowering. From interactive webinars and community conversations to moments like writing sessions, live sewing workshops and interviewing girls and women, this campaign is about learning, sharing and showing up for one another. It’s girls leading conversations that have too often been kept quiet — and doing it together.
As the month builds, Menstrual Hygiene Day (28 May) will be a key moment, with an interactive webinar session culminating the work made throughout the month planned to bring even more voices, stories and energy into the movement. Along the way, the campaign will also spotlight youth leaders and collaborate with important organisations and even politicians to amplify impact across communities.
Cycles of Strength is more than a campaign. It’s a reminder that our voices matter, our experiences are valid, and change starts when we speak up.
