5 Pieces We Love from the Girl Up Collection

  1. Story

The Girl Up Collection is a partnership between Uni Creation and Girl Up. Inspired by Girl Up Teen Advisors and staff, after learning about their activism, programs and needs, trained jewelry professionals developed a collection of jewelry styles that celebrate female empowerment, peace, love and strength. In addition to annual contributions to Girl Up programs, 5% of all sales from this jewelry collection will directly benefit Girl Up Clubs worldwide. All of the diamonds in the collection meet the highest standards of ethical sourcing set by the Kimberley Process, resulting in beautiful pieces that you can feel good about wearing.

This jewelry collection highlights female empowerment, peace, love, and strength, just like Girl Up has always done. Here are five of our favorite items from the line:

FLYING DOVE STUD EARRINGS WITH BLUE SAPPHIRES

These stud earrings are absolutely stunning. With the blue sapphires, these stand out as an accessory that can elevate any outfit. Beyond that, the meaning behind the dove is what easily places it in the Top 5. It serves as a reminder that peace is always possible. In a world that can seem chaotic and bleak at times, it is important to remember that there will be a better tomorrow as long as we continue to advocate for peace.

FIERCE NECKLACE WITH DIAMONDS

This message behind this necklace really resonated with me. As someone who has been called bossy at a young age, like many girls are, the word “fierce” reclaims that negative narrative and transforms it into something powerful. This necklace is a statement that “I am outspoken, passionate, and proud,” and every girl and woman deserves to feel that way.

RAISE A HAND TALISMAN PENDANT

This trope of being a  “woman who can do it all” comes with the pressure of perfection that can be extremely isolating. The Raise A Hand Talisman signifies actively working together for change. It also celebrates our Girl Up Clubs, who are consistently committed to fighting for equality. There really is power in girls and women coming together, and this pendant honors that fact.

7MM LABRADORITE BEAD BRACELET

This earthy tone bracelet is extremely unique and labradorite itself is representative of calming and transformative energy. Plus, this can also be an investment piece. There is a huge collection of charms in the Girl Up Collection, and you can continue to add charms to the bracelet as the years go by!
