Rest & Resist: Harnessing our Power for Change
Girl Up USA is so excited to welcome you to Los Angeles, CA for our Leadership Summit on June 20-21, 2024, bringing together youth advocates for gender justice! This will be the first-ever Girl Up USA Leadership Summit hosted in Los Angeles and will focus on promoting the balance of mental wellness, celebrating wins in gender equity, telling our stories of impact, and promoting further activism in our communities. Through leadership training, educational programming, and inspirational speakers, every youth leader present will know how to harness their power for change. 
Logistics
Date: June 20-21, 2024
Venue: Chief, 714 N La Cienega Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90069
Programming will feature keynotes and conversations with powerhouse leaders across the gender justice space and interactive workshops where you will learn how to further accelerate social change.

Girl Opportunities
Don’t miss your chance to speak at the 2024 USA Leadership Summit! We’re seeking input from Girl Up leaders to shape the Summit’s agenda and lead discussions on gender justice.
Opportunities include giving a Girl Talk, facilitating workshops, leading an inspire session, participating in a pitch competition, or guiding youth as a Big Sister.
Applications for any of the above opportunities are open to those who have applied to attend the in-person USA Leadership Summit.

Financial Aid
We offer financial aid for travel/lodging costs, up to $500 per qualifying attendee. Applicants will receive notification of their financial aid status within 3 weeks of application.

Hotel Information
You are not required to stay at the event hotel, Sofitel Los Angeles at Beverly Hills. However, we do have a room block available for all attendees. The hotel is a 15-minute walk from the Summit venue, Chief, 714 N La Cienega Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90069. Double Queen rooms shared with a fellow youth attendee are $135 per night; Double Queen rooms not shared are $270 per night plus taxes and fees.

- If you want to share a room with one other youth Summit attendee at Sofitel (assigned by Girl Up), indicate this when you fill out your registration form. You will be charged at check-in at the hotel either through a credit card on the day of or through your previously filled out credit card authorization form. Note: If you choose this path, Girl Up will be reserving the room on your behalf and you will not need to book through the contact information shared above. Â
