You know what makes me happy? Hearing Beyoncé sing “Who runs the world? GIRLS!” Besides loving Beyoncé, on International Day of Happiness I want to share some of my favorite female leaders in foreign policy – because seeing women running the world makes me happy!

First of all, let’s just give a moment to applaud the following AMAZING female leaders.

Education is a fundamental human right and it makes me so happy that Germany is continually being awesome; by taking in OVER 1 million refugees! 🙂 #withrefugees Snaps to Bundesrepublik Deutschland, and their fearless leader Angela Merkel for doing her best for the European Union and refugees!

There are so many fabulous female politicians around the world! Seeing the House of Windsor becoming so modern is pretty neat! Her Royal Highness, Kate Middleton the Duchess of Cambridge advocates a lot for mental health and wellness! She dresses AMAZING and she cares; isn’t she a force to be reckoned with?#NoHealthWithoutMentalHealth
 Queen Rania of Jordan

Queen Rania of Jordan is an advocate for education, public health, and she speaks out against “honor killings.” Also did you know she’s a global advocate for Girl Up?! How cool is that? I have to say someone using her podium to stand up for girls everywhere is super inspiring!

Nikki Haley, U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations

Madeline Albright was both our U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations and Secretary of State while Nikki Haley is our current U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations. Both play a huge role in our relationship with the UN and our foreign policy strategy. These two women are huge advocates for vital causes around the globe! It’s inspiring to see such incredible women leaders in positions that have historically been male-dominated.

So on International Day of Happiness, do what you love that  makes you happy! Remember we are girls and we can do ANYTHING, as long as you believe in yourself! So aspire to be a future ambassador, a head of state, an engineer, a teacher, doctor or whatever floats your boat! You got this!
